PUERTO RICO PRIMARY INFORMATION
This next June 1st 2008, Puerto Rico will hold the Democractic Party Presidential Primaries.  Puerto Ricans will be able to choose between Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton for the Democratic Presidential Nomination.  The Republican Party of Puerto Rico already held its caucus in February 24, 2008.

On June 1st, 2008, the Puerto Rico Presidential Democratic Primary will be held.  Puerto Ricans will be able to choose between the two democratic candidates, who are running for the democratic nomination for the presidency.

You need to be 18 years of age or older on or before November 4, 2008, and be registered with the State Elections Commission.  If you are not registered, you will not be able to vote, as the deadline for registration was May 2, 2008.  You can verify if your are registered here.

You must have your voter ID.  If you do not have it, visit your nearest Permanent Inscription Committee (JIP, in Spanish).  Find the directory here.

You can vote in your usual voting center on Sunday June 1st, 2008, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.  You will vote at the same voting center as you do n the general elections.  Find the directory of the voting centers here. In some precincts some changes have been made, find the list here.
